As a Solution Architect for Tableau, I work directly with customers to ensure they're getting the most out of Tableau to see and understand their own data and to pursue a data-driven culture. I'm a business strategist and economist by training. I've worked in analytics roles in both the private sector (financial services and consumer packaged goods) and public sector (economic development and academic economic research).

I began my career as a business analyst at Capital One, designing product tests and using continuously gathered data to optimize business decisions. From there, I made a big change and shifted into economic research in developing countries. As a quantitative researcher and later a program manager for nonprofits, I used data to test what works and what doesn't when designing programs to help alleviate poverty across the globe.

When I discovered Tableau, I already had a pretty strong background in analytics. Yet Tableau still helped me level-up my skills - by speeding up the time to insight through exploratory analysis and giving me a way to communicate data with non-technical audiences. I'm fascinated by the human psychology behind visual analytics and using those lessons, along with Tableau, to help people see and understand data.

I have a Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Masters in International Development Policy from Georgetown University. I am a proud native and resident of Raleigh, North Carolina. Outside of my professional life, you can typically find me reading a book at a local coffee shop, eating out, and trying to learn about the local arts scene.
