Visual Analytics, Tableau
Volunteering abroad for a summer in rural Thailand during college sparked my interest in international development. I spent two years after college teaching English in China and managing a non-profit program in Thailand.
I came to Tableau from a non-technical background and want to encourage others that it can be possible become a visualization master! As a Tableau consultant, I help guide customers build dashboards every single day.
I am looking forward to using the skills I have developed to give back to the community. I would love to help out with any education, health, youth development, empowerment of girls and women, environmental, and athletic groups to name a few.
Originally from Palo Alto, California, I attended Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service (SFS) and received my degree in International Politics as an aspiring diplomat. After graduation, I went abroad for two years, teaching English in China to over 1000 students and managing a non-profit program in rural Thailand. Hoping to learn analytical skills from the private sector, I returned to Washington, DC as a consultant on two large system implementation projects. While struggling through “Excel Hell,” I discovered the power of Tableau and my passion for visual analytics. I joined Tableau's Enterprise Strategic Sales team, working to support three major accounts, overachieving quota each quarter, and an annual quota of 476%. I transferred to the Professional Services team as a consultant, to provide value for Tableau clients by helping create and implement visual analytics solutions that drive towards actionable insights for the organization.
In my free time, I am the board chair of the non-profit that I volunteered with in Thailand - Learning Enterprises. I also love to be outdoors. I like to play soccer, hike, bike, and compete in triathlons.
