In 2015 she was the first Data Scientist in Residence for the Arts, working with the Barbican Centre and Royal National Theatre designing and prototyping visual tools for decision making. She has served on a higher education standards board for 6 years and her work spanning biomechanics, to public health, to data science has been presented at institutions such as Oxford University and the British Museum as well as published in international peer reviewed journals and conference proceedings.

During the 2012 London Olympics, Alison delivered a national public health project combining behavioral economics and technology with global media coverage.
