I love to make things and I love to learn. In my personal time those passions take on forms of music, woodworking, art, and cooking. There is a unique thrill in sharing something you created with others. Early in my career I learned that I also loved to solve problems, often creating plans and solutions with the same care that I would take to write a song or cook a meal. Technology provided me with a never ending supply of things to learn and the more I learned, the better my solutions became.
Much of my early career was spent in and around call centers, speaking to hundreds of people everyday. These years taught me how to troubleshoot and how to communicate. I progressed from helping people connect to dial-up internet connections in their homes, to corporate helpdesks, and then on to network operations centers, my technical and business knowledge expanding with my responsibilities. Along the way my role shifted too, growing from technician to trainer, supervisor, manager, and architect (with a few stops along the way).
Without really intending to, I had picked up skills from SixSigma to SQL and Project Management to Python. Recently, I put that knowledge to the test and completed a Bachelor's Degree in Data Management/Data Analytics in less than 14 months.
